ISLSD Congregations
I.S.L.S.D. is short for School of the Holy Spirit in Roma.
In 2017 Jozef Lukac had the dream of a bible and ministry training school for Roma people with potential to be leaders in the Roma church. He has developed this ministry to the point where it became a ministry of Derby Urban Church, and there are now several people taking leadership roles within Roma churches having completed 2 years of this course. Recently this has taken us in an unexpected direction when we found people wanting to do the course who had a group of Roma Christians gathered around them but no church network to help or support them. So in Stoke, and Ostrava (in Czech Republic) we have two new “I.S.L.S.D. Congregations”. One meets in a community hall, and the other in a restaurant, on Sunday afternoons. With support from Graham and other students from School of the Holy Spirit, Jozef oversees these congregations giving regular help and support to their trainee leaders while they complete the School of the Holy Spirit.

Veríme, že Písmo je inšpirované, zjavujúce a autoritatívne, preto je naším východiskovým bodom. Sme sú?as?ou Božej cirkvi a naša teológia by nás mala povzbudzova?, aby sme ju budovali a milovali.

Ak máte hlad ís? hlbšie do Božieho Slova a teologického štúdia, nenechajte si ujs? túto príležitos? a vyzbrojte sa. Náš tím a naši u?itelia majú skúsenosti s pastora?nou službou, ?o im umož?uje pripravi? vás na službu v cirkvi, na pracovisku a v domácnosti.
Ako to urobíme?
ISLSD poskytuje teologické vzdelanie prostredníctvom dvoch ro?níkov. Tieto sú prístupné každému; dostato?ne jednoduchý na to, aby sa dal uchopi?, no zárove? dostato?ne hlboký na to, aby bol náro?ný. Odporú?ame vám klás? otázky, spochyb?ova? domnienky a premýš?a? o sebe. Poskytujeme bezpe?né a výživné prostredie, v ktorom môžete rozvinú? svoje myslenie, popasova? sa s problémami a rás? vo svojej viere.

How are we going to do this?
ISLSD provides theological education for two years. These are accessible to everyone; simple enough to understand, yet deep enough to be difficult. We encourage you to ask questions, question assumptions and think about yourself. We provide a safe and nurturing environment to develop your thinking, deal with problems, and grow in your faith.
